    If it persists, maybe try deleting or renaming your ctrl/letsyncrypt.key file?

    i will try that... AFAICT, it started on the 21st about 15:20 EDT... it is easy
    to see in my log files

    $ sudo zgrep -E -e "SYNCRYPT" /var/log/syslog* | sort -V

    that didn't work... in fact, the new key is one byte shorter than the previous one...

    so i dropped back and started with a new ini file and no key file as well... only had the TOSAgree line in the ini file like i did when i first set it up...
    the exact same thing happens... i think there's a problem with the cryptlib :?

    It's quite possible. Deuce (via irc) is probably best suited to help with those issues.
